This was a painting I did of my uncle Jeff and his family for Christmas (from ref). He has cancer now and is going through some hard times, so I wanted to paint something from the good times. My uncles been logging for a long time now, as long as I can remember. When I think about him, this is what I see.
I tried something different and painted with a super soft brush, I think it helped with the old look. I added some texture at the end to tighten it up.
